You often forget the screen lock that you have put on your cell phone and end up in a panic cage because obviously you cannot unlock it. After numerous tries and usually inserting wrong pattern for 10 times (depending upon the version of OS), Android provides you with a solution. You can login to your Gmail account and unlock your screen to work again.
However you may not be this fortunate at times and due to the following situations cannot avail the aforementioned option.
- There is no Wi-Fi available at your location
- You had previously turned the Wi-Fi off on your mobile
- You have forgotten your Gmail password (even if you reset your Gmail password from any other device, you won’t be able to log in through your mobile as it remembers your last password only)
Considering this, there remains no other option but to factory reset your mobile phone to wipe off any of the security settings you had set. This obviously is a last resort because factory resetting makes you lose all your data and you have to start from ground zero. Here is a step by step procedure that will help you factory reset your Q-mobile.
Watch the video or go step by step below
Do not panic and just press Power (on the right side) and Volume Up+Volume Down (on the right side) simultaneously and keep them pressed for at least 10 seconds.
The phone will restart and you will see the following screen. Depending upon the model of your phone, you will somewhat similar options. Select Recovery Mode by pressing Volume Up key.
Following screen will appear after step two where you will scroll down and select wipe data/factory reset. While it is selected, press the Option Touch key on the bottom left corner of your QMobile NOIR
You will get a warning from the system about all your data being removed. You obviously have no choice so using the lower volume key button you scroll down to the option eight i.e. Yes and once again press the Option Touch key the way you did in step three.
Just wait for a while and you will that your phone is reset after few seconds. It may take more time for some people but eventually it is going to reset everything. Once done, it will show you 8 options from which you need to select Reboot System Now. That’s it. Your phone is back.
Although the process is easier but its a real pain as you lose everything in side your phone. So once you regain the control of it, try to set a password or PIN that you can remember. I would suggest you to write it somewhere in case you forget it next time.
