Qmobile is keeping up the pace for its Noir series and recently it launched the latest handset in the series as Noir A12. The relatively mid-range smartphone is priced at Rs. 22,000 and is powered by a 1.2 GHz Dual core processor. Despite the power of the processor, the RAM in supports with it is only 512 MB which may result in choking of the core functions. May be the RAM is the reason why the smartphone runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich as its operating system as opposed to the latest Jelly Beans.
The rear camera is a good one with 5 megapixel resolution and a 2 megapixel front camera. The rear camera has additional features like Auto focus and LED flash. The 4.3 inches WVGA LCD capacitive touchscreen display provides a good resolution. It has 4 GB internal storage out of which only 2 GB is usable by the customer and can be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card.
As expected from the Chinese made handsets, the Noir A12 has a Dual-SIM feature and supports GSM, GPRS and EDGE and has built in GPS and Wi-Fi support. The mid-range smartphone is available only in Black color for the market.
