Member Finance Syed Nasrul Karim Ghaznavi of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has decided to stop coming to office from today.
While talking to MORE he said, “I am thinking of sending resignation to Secretary Cabinet. But one thing is very clear, i am no more going to office (PTA)”
It is not confirmed yet if member technical Dr. Khawar Siddique Khokhar is also thinking on the same lines as a contact could not be established with him.
“My family is worried about me as anything can be expected after an abduction attempt of February 4. The strange part is that no government officer at the helm of affairs is bothering to take notice of the incident, added Ghaznavi.
An official of the PTA said, “We have tried in several ways to register a case with local police and even requested the higher official as well but it appears that certain people are not letting it happen. We have been told by police to remove the word DSP from the list of invaders in our application, only then a case can be registered”.
Several officials of PTA have confirmed that video that was captured by security cameras in the premises of PTA had spotted Secretary Interior who was supposedly supervising the entire action.
On February 4, armed men forcibly entered the premises of PTA, apparently guided by recently made OSD and ex-Director enforcement Sajjad Latif Khan, entered into the offices of member finance and technical for the purpose of taking them along with them.
Yesterday, PTA employees along with people from civil society and telecom companies staged a protest in favor both the members and demanded termination of DSP and Secretary Interior who were involved in the action. Protestors demanded Chief Justice of Pakistan to take Suo Motto action.
It is to be noted that tenure of Member Finance is scheduled to be ended on February 15 2013 whereas, member technical will have his contract expired on March 16th, 2013. For the both the positions, Cabinet Division has already announced to accept applications from interested candidates.

PTA officers should have gone to court and filed a writ petition. They could have done it to screw those who came to them for taking them away.
We can only expect this to happen in Pakistan….failure of state
Government must take notice of this shit. An inquiry must be ordered so everyone could know what actually happened.
