Ufone mobile service goes down in major areas Lahore

Ufone mobile service downUfone mobile service went down in many areas of Lahore around 21:30 PM on 4th of February. Hundreds of thousands of Ufone customer had no other way but to use other networks.

According to our sources, an unexpected cut in PTCL’s fiber that also provide connectivity to dozens of Ufone cell sites in the effected areas caused this service disruption.

Areas where Ufone mobile service remained disconnected include Saddar, Canal View, Glushan -e-Ravi, Johar Town, Awan Town, Raiwind Road, Bund Road, Shah Di Khoee.

A PTCL official confirmed that their fiber optic cable was cut down in Multan Road area last night but service was restored at 1:00 AM. A similar thing happened in the Gulberg area where fiber optic connectivity was restored in the morning (Feb 5).

“The cause of fiber cut was unscheduled and ill planned digging of roads. At this point of time, all PTCL services are up and running”, added the official.

Although, fiber connectivity has been restored by PTCL but Ufone customers are still having problems in getting 100 per cent service.

Instead of putting efforts for the provision of seamless service to its customers, Ufone is emphasizing heavily on advertisements that seemingly portray good quality service at unmatchable rates.

Like every company does, Ufone management needs to think about a backup plan in a situation like above where customers become helpless. Relying on single operator cannot be termed as a feasible plan.

Ufone is basically a PTCL owned company and it only differs in the category of marketing and advertisement. customer service and quality is similar to what PTCL offers. same babu culture

It’s not just the matter of yesterday, I do face this problem every other day with my Ufone number. It’s service quality is deteriorating with each passing day and there seems no hope of recovery. Helpline people are not willing to resolve issues and i’m left with no other option but to change the network now.
