Smart TV is now offered on every PTCL 3G EVo Wireless Broadband device as PTCL aims to please its customers. The largest broadband organization is providing means for laptop/PC addicted people who are busy on work and miss out their favorite TV program to catch up on their lost TV shows.
The Smart TV on EVo is available after subscription to the service. You can dial 1236 via your landline for subscription and the additional charges are Rs. 50/Month in your EVo bill.
Two of the most interesting features Smart TV on EVo are the re-run feature and Digital Video Recording (DVR). If you miss out your favorite TV show, you can still watch it later. The re-run feature stores the programs for up to 7 days at the PTCL server, allowing the users to view them later comfortably. The digital video recording feature allows you to record any TV show on your hard disk and view it later. Talking about PTCL employees is useless. Every one know them very well.
I called them them to avail this facility on DSL. When I called them they informed the rate of Smart TV application for DSL is Rs. 250. and Smart TV application for EVO is Rs. 50..
Can any one let me know the reason of this huge difference? Rs. 50 VS Rs. 250???
If on DSL, does this application work on more than one node?
I have been EVO broadband user for a long time and never faced any trouble and just downloaded Smart TV application on my PC. Its results are good and installation is very easy as completed in just few minutes.Now its convenient for me to enjoy my favorite TV shows at my place.
I called to PTCL help line 1236 for activation, after long 10 m wait the operator was not understanding what “Smart TV Application…” mean; after I told him in detail he said that it is only soft launch and it will be launch after advertise on tv.
I told him than why you put it on your official website he said same thing that it is soft launch.
It is PTCL………………… so funny people.
also PTCL sending SMS to DSL user since yesterday for link profile.ptcl.net which is down.
It is always funny to have services of PTCL. Even if you don’t use them, they keep sending you the bill and the only criteria for this digital and largest broadband company is to physically visit their office and tell them to do so.
Nothing happens through their call center. People sitting there are dumb and like robots and they keep telling you same thing no matter how many times you ask them for having a reasonable solution. They are all Sarkari babu.
Only thing they don’t waste time in is to give you a new connection, which i believe is their primary target and after that …..forget about the services.
Well Nadia i agree with you… but now i found solution for the complaint…i don’t call customer service nor i physically to them… becaz that don’t bother them to take any action… i just email to the regional head directly about complain and the next morning PTCL whole staff is first solve my problem…In Pakistan u will need the powerful source to make them active…
PTCL has poor facility and its becaz in Pakistan there is no LAW else that wouldn’t happen…
Very true Asif. But PTCL has i think millions of customers and how many of them can have access to the officers and head offices. A line man or an operator on the phone is actually the PTCL for a layman.
If you can help people, can you share the contact info of that official so others could also have their issues resolved?
i agree….well about offical i was having ptcl presedent email also whos is walid arshad… but i think presedent has changed his mail address due to client complaints… but other heads do check complain mails and as every area has their own reginal head so they will have to take the mail address from any PTCL known employee becaz its officals mails not allowed for public use… and also i can not give their mail address openly on net… else their mails will comes full of ppl msgs….for if u have any known person in ptcl take u concern area regional head mail address frm them….
