Mobile services will remain suspended in Karachi from 12pm to 3pm according to a recent directive issued by the PTA to the telecom operators. We have talked to the officials in telecom companies and they have confirmed that the directive has been issued by PTA and the services will remain closed from 12pm to 3pm on Friday, February 1, 2013 in Karachi.
Due to the recent terrorists threats and according to reports allegedly received by Interior Minister Rehman Malik, there was to be quite unrest in the city of Karachi during February. We predicted that the steps that Rehman Malik will take to ensure “safety” of Karachi will most definitely include suspension of mobile services. Today being the first day of the month in addition to being a Friday, the interior minister seems quite certain of an imminent attack.
It seems that the government has found an easy way out to reduce terrorist activities i.e. suspension of mobile services whenever and wherever there is even a little chance of terrorism.

Rehman malik in action again. How the hell he can predict that law and order will be worst in certain part of the country way before it happens and if he has good intelligence then why he doesn’t contain those who do it. silly politics
this country is bearing really incapable leaders. by blocking the service they create more panic for those who become communication less. what about all those terrorist attacks that are happening without involving mobile phones????do they have answer. supreme court must take actions against those anti-society decisions.
