Zong has introduced Unlimited Calling Package that let you call any Zong number from 6 AM to 6 PM. There is no cap for callers during this 12 hours duration thus making it an unlimited calling package for Rs. 6 plus tax as daily subscription charges.
The offer seems to be a flavor of location based charges service (LBC) that also has been upgraded to 24 hours.
In its press release Zong says
Zong has yet again broken new ground by launching the most economical and attractive offer in the entire industry which allows unlimited free Zong to Zong calls for 12 hours
Although, ZONG was the pioneer when it launched LBC in Pakistan and no doubt it earned Zong number four position pushing back Ward Telecom but this time, i would suggest Zong people to rephrase their claim because they are not the first to have launched this kind of unlimited offer for limited hours. It is Ufone which introduced Unlimited calling package ‘Din Bhar Offer‘ before Zong even thought about it
‘Din Bhar Offer’ not only let you call any Ufone number (On-Net) in Pakistan but you can also call millions of PTCL and Vfone (Off-Net) numbers from 9 AM to 5PM at a very nominal subscription rate.
According to reports, Din Bhar Offer is helping Ufone the way LBC worked for Zong.
We have already highlighted this fact in our earlier stories that after crossing Warid, Zong is eying Ufone’s number 3 position now but it can only make it possible by throwing more creative offers in the market. Copying Ufone will only keep it one step behind.

there is no claim of ‘first’ in this offer as you mentioned.
this offer is 12 hours (6am-6pm) as compared to you phone 8 hours (9am-5pm), so no copy. if this is copy so Ufone also copied ZONG LBC.
