Laptop scheme has made everyone crazy in Lahore. It is not limited to the students, but their family members are also eying to get these devices as most of people rely on used or refurbished computers which they had probably bought from Hafeez Center or Hall Road, Lahore.
So, on one hand this new lot of free laptops is going upgrade the students of Punjab who are fed up of load shedding especially in those hours when UPS stops working and it does not allow their old refurbished equipment to work anymore. On the other hand, the scheme has created a sort of frustration among students who kept trying to register themselves for laptops but couldn’t do it either because the online system didn’t work or they couldn’t understand the terms and conditions of the scheme.
Despite of registration and confirmation SMS, there are number of students who are in a fix as they still do not know if they are going to get a laptop or not.
For them, we can try to forward their issues by coordinating with the concerned people who are managing the Shahabaz Sharif Laptop Scheme. Laptops are yet to be delivered and the process will be started by Jan 26, 2012.

yeah sir i have seen my name in fact i have been registered but i did not receive any confirmation message as my friends got that they have been registered.While i am feeding my cnic no. there appears that your registration has already been made.What should i do to confirm kindly tell me.
